fitgaussianfortran

raccoon.ccf.fitgaussianfortran(rv, ccf, fitrng, funcfitnam='gaussian', nfitpar=4)

Fit a Gaussian function to the CCF and return the best fit parameters.

Uses the subroutine fitccf from the fortran library ccflibfort.

Gaussian definition:

shift + amp * e**(-(x-cen)**2 / wid)

FWHM = 2*sqrt(ln(2)*wid)

Parameters:
rv, ccf1d arrays
funcfitnamstr, {‘gaussian’}
nfitparint, {4}

Number of parameters to fit (4 in case of a Gaussian)

Returns:
fitpardict

Dictionary with the best fit parameters of the Gaussian.
